The SPIES curriculum is available in both video tape and CDROM formats.

VIDEOTAPE

The video tape version of SPIES is designed to be presented by a facilitator to a group of participants. Each module includes a videotape (20-40 minutes in length), facilitator's manual and participant's manual. The facilitator's role is to actively engage participants in learning the concepts through discussions and activities provided in the facilitator's manual. The facilitator does not need to be an expert in using the SPIES strategies to present the curriculum. However, the facilitator should preview and be familiar with the materials for each module before presenting them to participants. The video tape version may also be viewed individually. The participant should have access to both a video tape and participant's manual for each module to be viewed.

CDROM

The CDROM version of SPIES is an abbreviated version designed to be viewed by individuals using a Windows or Macintosh computer. This version includes one CDROM disc and a participant's manual for all six modules.
